Acupuncture and Acupuncture Treatment

Acupuncture therapy was originated in China. According to Chinese medical theory, diseases are originated due to the disturbance in energy level of the body. To cure diseases herbal medicines, massage and acupuncture etc. treatments were used.

The word acupuncture means acus-'needle' and pungere-‘to prick’. Acupuncture is a method of pricking sharp thread like needles into correct points on the body to reduce pain. Along with China, other countries like Japan, Korea, Tibet, and Vietnamese, have also started to use acupuncture therapy.

According to the acupuncture method, there are 2000 special points in the body connecting to each other, if pressure is applied on these points by using stainless steel needles, definitely will help to cure problem by balancing energy level of the body.

These days in acupressure therapy, other methods are used along with needles are lasers, electricity and ultrasounds for stimulating acupoints

There are some other activities used in combination with acupressure like placing needles in the ear, giving physical pressure on the acupoint, injecting solutions for e.g. sterilized water, vitamins and homeopathic solutions from the needle.
